Fires started 'deliberately' on successive days at derelict Haverhill pub
Police are investigating two fires in two days in a derelict pub in Haverhill.
Two Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service crews, from Haverhill and Clare, were called on Sunday, February 28 at 5pm to reports of a fire in the former Vixen pub in Strasbourg Square.
It is believed that the fire was started deliberately with rubbish set alight and police have now launched an investigation into the fire, which was under control in 20 minutes.
Further reports of suspicious behaviour inside the building were received yesterday at about 2.15pm.
It is believed that pieces of wood were set on fire, causing minor damage.
