Haverhill firm Cornelius Specialities evacuates Rookwood Way building after fire service called to reports of smoke




A building was evacuated after firefighters were called to reports of smoke.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 9.22am to Cornelius Specialities, in Rookwood Way, Haverhill.

A spokesman said there was a smell of smoke reported inside the building, thought to be in the reception area.

The building was evacuated while the fire service carried out an investigation but nothing was found.

Two crews from Clare and Haverhill attended.

The incident was dealt with by 11.25am.

Cornelius is an independent manufacturer and distributor of raw materials, ingredients and specialty chemicals for the life sciences and performance chemicals sectors.
