Former Haverhill Borough manager pleads guilty to stealing tens of thousands of pounds from production studio

The former manager of Haverhill Borough FC has admitted stealing tens of thousands of pounds from the production studio where he worked.

Scott Hiskey admitted a single charge of committing fraud by abuse of position when he appeared last month at Snaresbrook Crown Court in east London.

Prosecutors say he took £230,116 from Monumental Pictures between April 2016 and October 2018, though his lawyers are challenging the figure, saying it is less.

The 30-year-old, who lives in Great Easton, near Dunmow, was working as an accountant for Monumental Pictures when the money was stolen.

He was given unconditional bail and his case will return to the same court for a pre-sentence review on October 29.

No date has yet been set for sentencing.

Hiskey had become Haverhill Borough manager in the summer of 2018 but resigned suddenly on October 31.

The club’s chairman at the time, Gary Boulton, had said Hiskey’s departure came as a ‘complete shock’.

The Echo believes Hiskey’s fraud charge only came to light at Borough after he had left the club.
