A global leader in the entertainment industry is expanding its operations in Haverhill

A worldwide specialist in entertainment automation and stage and set manufacturing has agreed terms to move to a new purpose-built complex in Haverhill, creating a jobs boost for the local economy.

TAIT has struck an agreement for a pre-let of a 100,000sqft new manufacturing and office complex to be located at The Ridge development on Haverhill Business Park, where Trebor Developments/Hillwood are delivering a range of five high quality industrial buildings.

Lee Buckingham, on behalf of TAIT, said: “This new space (soon to be named TAIT Haverhill), allows us to expand our manufacturing and creative engineering footprint whilst offering more job opportunities to the immediate and expanded community.

“As we continue to advance the future of live entertainment with world-class solutions and offerings, we need to be in a space that offers the same best-in-class accommodations. This is it.”

A new planning application has been submitted for the bespoke building for TAIT, whose clients include Taylor Swift, Cirque Du Soleil, Disney, Dubai World Expo, Beyoncé and NASA, and following consent work will progress on site from spring 2020.

Construction is already under way on the site delivering other speculative industrial units, which will be available in a range of sizes for occupation from September 2020.

Bob Tattrie, managing partner for Trebor, said: “We are delighted to welcome TAIT as the first occupier to The Ridge, Haverhill Business Park site, which we acquired in 2019.

The 100,000sqft pre-let building will be the largest of five units being delivered and with work on site progressing well, high quality units will be available for occupation in summer 2020.”

TAIT, which has 14 office locations across the world, currently leases two adjoining units in Homefield Road, Haverhill.

Once the new complex next to Culina Logistics is completed its operations will be relocating.

Trebor Developments/Hillwood are represented by M1 and Bidwells. TAIT is represented by St Brides managers and TAIT is also represented by Lysander Construction Consultants for the building fit out.
