Haverhill-based charity the Joshua Tarrant Trust still has a few spaces for teams and sponsors at its fund-raising golf day on August 17.

The Joshua Tarrant Memorial Trophy takes place at Saffron Walden Golf Club and costs £70 per person, which includes a two-course dinner, auction, golf prizes and a raffle.

It is a 4 ball Stablefeord competition with the first tee times at midday and a bacon roll and coffee on arrival followed by the two-course meal at 7pm.

Evening tickets are £36 p/p.

Tee box sponsorships at £100 each and table sponsorships at £50 each are also available.

The charity was formed following the death of Haverhill boy Joshua Tarrant from a brain tumour in April 2012 when he was only 16.

Haverhill's mayor, Cllr Tony Brown, has selected it as his mayoral charity of the year 2018/19.
