Haverhill school teams up with Cineworld to showcase pupils’ art
Pupils at a Haverhill school have had their artwork exhibited at the town’s Cineworld after the two struck up a brand new arrangement.
The New Cangle Primary School pupils, all in year five, had been working on their polygonal pictures since September, choosing a superhero to base it on.
It was all a part of the school’s topic, ‘Does the world need superheroes?’
Children chose a superhero and over time built up a portfolio, eventually painting their final designs on wooden boards.
The school initially approached the cinema to see if it would help with the superheroes project and received an invtiation to attend a private screening of Doctor Strange and to display the artwork, which was put on show by Cineworld from last Friday until Monday.
Having seen the film, pupils also tried their hand writing a review of it.
