Haverhill branch of Clintons to close, with premises already put on the market

The branch of Clintons in Haverhill High Street is to close early in 2024.

The retailer will close the shop on January 24.

Clintons announced last August that it would have to close 38 of its 225 UK stores as part of a restructuring plan that was laid out to prevent the whole business collapsing.

However, the Echo understands that the Haverhill shop is not on that list of 38 branches and that its closure is due to a separate issue.

The property is already being marketed for rent, and possibly for sale, with fhp.co.uk.

The annual rental charge is quoted at £28,000 per year, exclusive, with the vendor also stating on its website that the landlord may sell the virtual freehold of the property at offers in the region of £350,000.
