Man arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure in Newt Pond Park, Haverhill




A man was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure in a town park.

The incident was at about 10.45am in Newt Pond Park, Haverhill, yesterday.

A police spokesperson said: “Due to the amount of people that use the pathways running alongside the Newt Pond and play area, it has not been possible to speak with everyone involved who may have seen a male acting suspiciously in the tree line between the Parkway Estate and the Newt Pond.

“As it was a warm, Saturday morning in an area usually well-attended by families, we suspect that someone may have witnessed this incident other than those who have already been in touch with us.”

The 54-year-old man has been released on bail to August 9.
