A man from Haverhill has been sentenced to 36 months in prison for attempting to engage in sexual activity with a child.
Chris Doyle, 55, formerly of Ladygate in Haverhill, was sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court yesterday.
He had pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to three counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
The former personal care assistant had been arrested by Suffolk Police in December 2021.
Doyle was sentenced to 36 months in prison for two of the offences and 24 months for the other.
The sentences are to run concurrently.
He was also given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for ten years and ordered to forfeit the devices he used for his online activity, a tablet and mobile phone.
