Haverhill man admits tampering with vehicles

A man has received a community order after he admitted tampering with vehicles in Haverhill.

Wayne Read, 37, appeared before Ipswich Magistrates' Court yesterday and pleaded guilty to three counts of interfering with a motor vehicle on Saturday, January 9.

It followed reports on Saturday night of three incidents of vehicles - a BMW, a VW Golf and a white Ford estate - being tampered with.

Read, of Fritton Court, in Haverhill, was sentenced to a 12 month community order, up to 15 days rehabilitation and fined £95.

Another male was also arrested in connection with the incidents and was released pending further investigation.
