Multiple arrests made in Haverhill as Suffolk Police carry out two raids
Multiple people have been arrested following two raids in Haverhill.
Today, police executed a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at a home where suspected Class A drugs, stolen property, scales, a large amount of cash and several digital devices were seized.
A man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.
He was taken in for questioning and has since been released under investigation while officers await forensic analysis of the phones and substances.
In a separate pre-planned operation, officers arrested two men and a boy at another property in connection with a series of town centre shop thefts.
Following a search, officers recovered suspected Class A and B drugs, weapons and other evidence of dishonesty.
All three remain in custody at Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre.
A police spokesperson said: “This series of thefts has caused tension in the community and in an ideal world they would have been arrested immediately.
“However, CCTV, statements and evidence had to be gathered before doing so to enable the entire series to be dealt with as one.”
