Police dogs and a helicopter were called in earlier this afternoon following reports of people trying to throw drugs into HMP Highpoint in Stradishall.
On social media, Haverhill Police said a foot patrol was being carried out at the Haverhill Car Boot Sale when reports were received of the suspects trying to throw drugs into the prison.
Police attended and were assisted by the Norfolk and Suffolk Police Dog Unit and The National Police Air Service.
Two males were then detained and 'multiple' packages were seized.
