Police search for driver after three-vehicle crash on A1307 Cambridge Road near Linton

Police are searching for a driver who fled the scene of a serious three-vehicle crash early this morning.

Cambridgeshire Police were called to the A1307 Cambridge Road near Linton at 5.22am today which lead to the closure of the eastbound carriageway towards Haverhill until 10am.

A Ford Fiesta, suspected to be stolen, flipped onto its roof during the collision and the driver fled on foot.

Despite searches in the area, the individual has yet been located by the police while investigations are ongoing.

One passenger suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries while another driver suffered minor injuries.
