10k, 3k and Fun Run in Ashdon, near Haverhill, will provide funding boost for village school




An annual race and fun run that raises funds for the primary school in the village where it is held, takes place again in early May.

Participants in the Ashdon 10k, 3k & Fun Run will be lining up on May 6 at Ashdon Primary School in Bartlow Road, just a few miles from the Suffolk border and from Haverhill.

The race starts at 10.30am, with gates open at 9am.

The course is mostly off road but a small section is held on the road.

The 10k adult run and 3k under-16s will have chip timing.

All finishers will receive medals and there will be trophies for the winners in all sections.

There is free parking, changing facilities, water, first aid, refreshments, food vendors, ice cream van and face painting.

Everyone is welcome, be it serious runners, joggers, walkers and even dogs.

Sponsors include Cheffins, Ford Homes, Walden Sweeps, Saffron Security and the Rose & Crown in Ashdon.
