Nostalgia - Haverhill Furniture Bank awarded £5,000 grant in 2012

Haverhill Furniture Bank, a charity which was part of REACH, was celebrating in May, 2012, after receiving a £5,000 grant from ONE Haverhill to further its work re-distributing unwanted furniture to those in financial difficulty.

The grant would help the project’s manager Ray Earls, pictured here by then Haverhill Echo photographer Ben Carmichael, go from being a volunteer to a paid employee and help meet training costs.

In all, nine organisations representing the young, elderly, and disadvantaged benefited from £14,371 worth of community grants dished out by ONE Haverhill.
