Haverhill nostalgia - Ivan Causey leads team to success to make short film for Project 48 Machinima competition




Avid computer gamer Ivan Causey was pictured in April 2012 by then Echo photographer Ben Carmichael after he led a team to two awards in an international film making competition.

Ivan, 18, from Henderson Way, Haverhill, took charge of a team including a Welshman, a Norweigan woman and three Danes to make a short film in the Project 48 Machinima competition.

Some 24 teams from across the world competed to make a the film using video game engines and set criteria.

Ivan’s team – the Cinemart Cake Team – made ‘Dana Dandeo, A Tale Of Cake’, and won the ‘Best use of line’ and ‘Best editing’ awards.
