VIDEO: Haverhill brass band overcomes lockdown hurdles to keep performing
Haverhill Silver Band cannot currently rehearse together because of the coronovirus lockdown but it has turned to modern technology to produce some stirring performances.
The band's individual players are recording themselves before musical director Paul Filby spends many hours synchronising it all to produce an overall, balanced virtual performance.
Richard Pannell, from the band, said: "Synchronicity is achieved by us listening to a click track in earphones connected to one device.
"Then we are recording sound and pictures with a second device."
Mobile phones, tablets and laptops are typically used to record the sound and pictures
You can see the results on the band's YouTube channel.
Songs performed are Clog Dance (in honour of the NHS), John Barleycorn (to honour those keeping the food chain going) and Blaze Away, for the town council's VE Day presentation.
