A143 at Chedburgh reopens after deer hit by car

Police were called to the A143 at Chedburgh near Haverhill this morning after reports a vehicle had hit a deer.

A deer warden was dispatched to the scene and put the animal, which had sustained serious injuries, to sleep.

The road was cleared and reopened by 8.50am.
