Fire breaks out at farm in Little Wratting on A143 Haverhill Road, on outskirts of Haverhill
Firefighters from across Suffolk are on the scene of a blaze at a farm near Haverhill this afternoon.
About 15 crews have been called to the barn fire off of the A143 Haverhill Road in Little Wratting.
A fire service spokesman said the blaze at Great Wilsey Farm was reported at about 4.30pm.
He added: "It's an outbuilding on fire with the potential to spread towards another outbuilding or barn.
"There is a large amount of smoke."
Officials have said the blaze, which is in a large barn, has since been contained to the outbuilding.
The spokesman added: "There is no indication of the cause at the moment and the crews are busy getting the fire under control.
"The whole of the barn has been involved in the fire, but no other buildings or property are affected."
He said there was no indication that anyone had been hurt in the blaze.
Police have been on the scene to assist with traffic management, the spokesman added.
