Sisters from Clare and Ridgewell launch their own natural skincare company LaFemmeVerte Limited

A chance to realise their shared dream of creating an original business and making it a success stands behind the launch by twin sisters of a natural skincare company.

Louise and Sara Beauchamp, who live near Haverhill, launched LaFemmeVerte Limited on August 28, their birthday.

The siblings, of Ridgewell and Clare, respectively, both came to the skincare business from completely unrelated fields; Louise has always worked in organisational development, and is still working full-time for a children’s charity.

Sara has for the past few years worked as a footcare health professional.

Both have diplomas in natural skincare formulation, knowledge that is put to use in their own lab in the garden of Louise’s home where they come up with their natural formulas.

All of their products have been approved by the Government after rigorous testing by Oxford Biosciences.

About four years ago, with their mum having recently passed away, the sisters found themselves living just five miles apart - and their conversations threw up the shared vision.

Louise said: “We wanted to do something the was really original, to grow something we created and are passionate about and really believe in and take it from its concept to its fruition and make it a successful brand, but also raising the issue of hormonal balancing and how important that is for women.”

Sara added: “We both wanted to make the most of fact that we were living closer together and we both felt there was something big left within us.”

Having their own lab means they are able, explained Louise, to guarantee the “consistency, quality, and integrity of our products”.

She said: “This was really important to us as we only wanted to use the very best oils, butters and high performance ingredients, as well as particular essential oils known for their anxiety calming, grounding and relaxing properties.

“The result is a well-researched and formulated beautiful range of natural skincare products with optimum efficacy especially for women who are peri through to post-menopausal and beyond.”
