Haverhill primary school seeks permission from West Suffolk Council to build new games area
A Suffolk primary school is seeking to build a new games area after plans were submitted.
Grant Collins has submitted a planning bid to West Suffolk Council on behalf of Westfield Primary Academy, in Chalkstone Way, Haverhill, for a new multi-use games area.
The development, to be built on the school's field, would be used for PE but could still be used all year round.
Planning drawings show basketball hoops and football goals surrounded by fencing.
Despite the planning application form suggesting 50 parking spaces would be lost, approval of the new games area would not impact any spaces.
The application is now out for consultation with a determination deadline set for July 25.
