Thirteen fire crews called to thatched roof blaze at cottage on Clockhall Lane, Hundon




Firefighters from across Suffolk are on the scene of a thatched roof blaze at a village cottage.

According to the Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service incident log, 13 crews have been sent to the fire in Clockhall Lane, Hundon, which they were alerted to at about 5.30pm.

A post on the Sudbury Fire Station Facebook page at about 7pm said Lower Road was closed while crews deal with the fire.

A spokesman said no one was reported to have been trapped in the building.

He said the crews were using breathing apparatus while tackling the fire.
