Two men arrested after drink and drug driving incidents in Haverhill

Two men were arrested last night following two separate incidents in a Suffolk town.

A man in his 30s was arrested in Eringhousen Way, Haverhill, at about 6:25pm yesterday on suspicion of driving with excess drugs.

According to a Suffolk Police spokesperson, the man has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

At 1.40am this morning, another man in his 30s was arrested in Hamlet Road, also in Haverhill, on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol and was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning where he currently remains.

A tweet from Haverhill Police said the man 'blew 71 at the roadside and 76 in custody.'
