Continued growth for Haverhill tax credit specialists
Haverhill based Research and Development (R&D) tax credit specialists, Fiscale, has has continued its growth by appointing a new R&D tax manager and a marketing and sales administrator.
It's new new R&D tax manager is Eve Hopley, while Chris West has taken up the role of marketing and sales administrator.
Eve graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Chemistry from the University of St Andrews.
After completing a summer internship in the EY Corporation Tax team, Eve decided to follow a career in tax.
She worked for EY for nearly five years, initially as an assistant tax advisor before being promoted to a Tax Advisor.
As soon as Eve discovered the concept of R&D tax credits she knew it was an area in which she wished to specialise.
She joined AstraZeneca as a tax supervisor in June 2018 and was responsible for the preparation of UK tax provisions for the quarterly financial results and also large parts of the UK compliance work including Patent Box calculations.
Eve said: “I am delighted to join Fiscale to continue my journey in R&D tax.
"I am a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor and I have strong technical skills and working knowledge of both R&D and Patent tax incentive schemes.
"Going forward I am excited to work with Fiscale’s clients to help get the financial support they are entitled to so they can grow their businesses.
"The impact of R&D tax credits is much more rewarding from a personal perspective when working with local companies.”
Chris West has joined Fiscale in the role of marketing and sales administrator having spent the past decade working within the publishing and events sector.
During this time, Chris helped to create digital and traditional marketing campaigns for industry leading brands.
He was also involved with devising and negotiating sponsorship and partnerships on some of the UK’s biggest and most prestigious events.
Chris said: “I am really pleased to be working with Fiscale during such an exciting period of growth for the company.
