Two people taken to West Suffolk Hospital after car crash sees building in Clare High Street damaged




Two people have been taken to hospital after a car was driven into a building in Clare's High Street.

Police were called to the scene at around 9.10am following reports of a building having been driven into and damaged.

Three fire crews from Long Melford, Clare and Haverhill were also called to help extract two people from the car, as well as two ambulances and a hazardous area response team.

The occupants of the car were taken to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds for treatment but their injuries are not thought to be life-changing.

The vehicle has now been recovered and the road is open.
