Police want help to catch a man who punched and spat on a woman as she sat in her car at a roundabout

Police are appealing for information after a woman was assaulted in a possible road incident in Duxford on Wednesday, July 24.

The victim, in her 50s, was in stationary traffic at Duxford roundabout at about 9am when a man approached her car and spat at her through her open window and punched her in the face, leaving her with minor injuries.

The man is described as white, 5ft inches, of a stocky build with a tattoo on his right arm and blond hair. He was driving a small black car, possibly a Ford Fiesta.

Sgt Tom Rogers said: “The roundabout was very busy at the time and we are appealing for anyone that saw anything to contact us.”
