Annual show by Mayes Performing Arts, in Haverhill featured sign language for the first time

Sign language was used for the first time during the the fourth annual show staged by Mayes Performing Arts.

Held at Haverhill Arts Centre on Saturday, the two performances saw children use sign language alongside a soloist singing ‘waving through a window’ from Dear Evan Hansen.

The show, called Revolting Children, was a showcase of singing, dancing and acting from all students – of which there are 60, aged from seven to 18 – and was jam-packed full of songs from musicals, with many solos, duets, monologues, group numbers and whole call cast numbers.
