Ely City 2 Haverhill Rovers 2
A controversial injury time goal earned basement side Ely a draw and deprived Rovers of two points.
The hosts went ahead on 32 minutes through Luke Brown’s 30-yard volley only for Martyn Farrant to equalise just four minutes later when he touched home a shot from Rovers’ debutant, Lee Kersey.
Dan Cornwell put Rovers ahead on 42 minutes with a penalty awarded for a foul on AFC Sudbury loanee Ayrton Coley.
The game had entered the 94th minute when Ely took a quick free-kick, and with Rovers caught napping, Richard Gammon touched home James Seymour’s effort after it came back off the post.
