A14 crash sees traffic build up at Ipswich's Orwell Bridge

A14 traffic coming across the Orwell Bridge near Ipswich faced delays after a crash blocked the road.

A two vehicle crash between the Nacton Interchange at Junction 57 and the Wherstead Interchange at Junction 56 on the westbound carriageway partially blocked the busy A-road, and at one point caused traffic to build up.

The delays have now cleared but further down the road drivers can expect to be stuck in traffic.

Heading towards the Copdock Interchange on the A12 and A14 traffic has been building up, with queues coming off of the A14 on to Junction 55 and on the A12 heading into Ipswich.

Traffic on the eastbound A14 is coping well, with no delays reported heading towards Felixstowe.

And in more good news for morning commuters across the county, there have so far been no reports of any other incidents on the county's vital road links.
