Storm Christoph: Ipswich's A14 Orwell Bridge reopens as wind speed drops

The A14 Orwell Bridge in Ipswich which was closed overnight due to safety reasons has reopened this morning.

Highways England took the decision to close the bridge from 8pm last night due to high winds as Storm Christoph hit Suffolk and officials said they would continue to monitor wind speeds before reopening it.

It came as the Met Office had issued a yellow weather warning for wind in the county - the alert was in place from 9pm last night until 3am today.
