Orwell Bridge shut for an hour during police-led incident

The A14 was closed in both directions for more than an hour due to a police-led incident.

Officers were called to the Orwell Bridge, Ipswich, between junction 57 and junction 56, at 6.37pm yesterday.

The incident was dealt with by 7.45pm and the road reopened shortly after.

Suffolk Police thanked motorists for their patience.
