Woman airlifted to hospital after hitting tree on A144 outside Bramfield, near Halesworth

A woman has been airlifted to hospital after a crash near Halesworth.

Emergency services were called to the A144 outside Bramfield, at 8.30am.

When they arrived, they found a car had veered off the road and hit a tree.

Police, paramedics, fire crews and an air ambulance attended.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said a woman was airlifted to to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further care.

The route reopened at 11am.
