Body found in water near to Orwell Bridge after joint emergency response conducts search
A body was recovered from the water near to Orwell Bridge this morning following a search.
A joint response by emergency services was called to the Strand, Wherstead, at 6am today after reports a person was in the water.
Suffolk Police and five fire crews attended, a coastguard helicopter was also seen with RNLI Harwich Lifeboat and coastguard teams from Felixstowe and Holbrook also involved in the search.
Suffolk Police confirmed a body was recovered at around 7.45am and the death is not being treated as suspicious.
