Suffolk Police 'extremely concerned' for Tony Green's welfare as Ipswich pensioner is reported missing

Police have urged anyone who sees a missing 68 year old from Ipswich to call 999 immediately amid rising concerns for his welfare.

Pensioner Anthony Green, known as Tony, was last seen at about 12.40pm yesterday and was reported as missing to Suffolk Police just before 8.50 this morning.

Mr Green has been described by officers as white, 6ft tall, with thinning grey hair. It is thought he was wearing grey jogging bottoms and a blue top.

A force spokesman said: "Police are extremely concerned for Tony's welfare and are asking anyone with any information about his whereabouts to contact them immediately.

"Anyone who believes they have seen Tony is asked to contact Suffolk Police on 999."

Suffolk Police have since revealed that Mr Green was found safe and well earlier in the day.
