St Elizabeth Hospice’s Midnight Walk from Portman Road, Ipswich, opens early bird registration
Early bird registration is now open for a charity’s annual late night walk, which has a 1980s theme this year.
St Elizabeth Hospice’s Midnight Walk returns on May 18. This year, in celebration of the organisation’s 35th birthday, it is asking participants to bring their best 80s themed outfits.
The seven-mile route starts and finishes at Portman Road, home of Ipswich Town, and is open to all aged 10 and older.
Last year’s event raised more than £160,000 for the hospice.
James Fox-Golding, hospice events and challenges manager, said: “This year marks 35 years of St Elizabeth Hospice, so we are keen for everyone to bring their biggest and brightest 1980s disco themed outfits, harking back to the decade when we first opened our doors, to make Midnight Walk 2024 the best yet.
“With our early bird tickets now available there is no better time to register and start encouraging friends and family to sponsor you and help you make a difference to your local hospice.”

It will be the 17th Midnight Walk, offering the chance for participants to party, dress up, raise sponsorship and remember loved ones.
The route will go past Ipswich Waterfront, The Hod, up Foxhall Road to St Elizabeth Hospice before returning to the town, passing Christchurch Park before heading to the stadium.
Midnight Walk will once again be supported by sponsors Hawk Express Cabs.
