Cocaine dealer Lachezar Blangev jailed after being stopped in Clapgate Lane, Ipswich
A 55-year-old cocaine dealer has been jailed for more than two years.
Lachezar Blangev, of no fixed address, appeared before Ipswich Crown Court last Thursday.
He pleaded guilty on April 4 to one count of being concerned in the supply of cocaine and one count of possession of criminal property.
Blangev was stopped on February 3 in Clapgate Lane, the court heard. Officers detained him before searching his phone, which they suspected was linked to drug-dealing.
His vehicle was then searched and cocaine and cash were seized.
It was then that officers discovered a possible home address for Blangev after he had refused to disclose it to officers.
Suffolk Police then raided a caravan in Broadgrass Green, between Elmswell and Woolpit, near Bury St Edmunds, where officers found 79 bags of cocaine and £2,000 in cash.
For the drug-dealing charge, Blangev was handed a 28-month sentence, while he was given a nine-month sentence for possession of criminal property.
These will be served concurrently.
The £2,890 in cash was also forfeited.
