Comedy legend Ross Noble set to begin 54-date tour at Ipswich Regent Theatre
Comedian Ross Noble is set to kick-start his brand new UK show, Humournoid, in Suffolk this Thursday.
The QI and Have I Got News For You regular will embark on the 54-date tour beginning in Ipswich Regent Theatre on October 14.
Following his hugely successful 2018 tour, El Hablador, Humournoid was originally scheduled for spring 2020 with the dates postponed to 2021/22.
Ross said: “People used to say, ‘What’s your show about?’ And it’s only in the last few months that I’ve realised it’s basically an invitation to see the world through my eyes.
"It took me years to realise that. I always thought ‘My shows aren’t really about anything’ but they sort of are.
"They’re about what I think about things.”
The pandemic meant Ross couldn't perform in the UK, giving him time to reflect on his career and the industry he loves.
"Not only did every theatre in the world close, it was against the law to do the thing that I’ve devoted 30 years of my life doing," he said.
"I was literally going, ‘What am I going to do?’
“I love doing stand-up. I’ve always loved doing stand-up. But I’ve always had 50 ideas in my head at once.
“Creatively, it’s been the best time of my career," he added.
Three years since he last performed in the country, Ross said he can't wait to start his 54-date tour.
“I’m looking forward to getting back in front of a British audience,” said Ross.
“I’m just interested to see where everybody’s head is at."
Tickets for Ross' Humournoid tour are on sale now.
