Crews called to fire at landfill site in Great Blakenham near Ipswich

Firefighters have been called to the scene of a blaze at a landfill site in Great Blakenham on the outskirts of Ipswich this evening.

Crews were alerted to the fire on Bramford Road at about 5.25pm.

At 7pm, a spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said a section of landfill at the site had been "well alight" when crews had arrived at the scene, but it was now under control.
