Ipswich firm the DPO Centre to take part in 2025 Dragon Boat Race




A data protection firm is gearing up to make waves at an Ipswich boat event this weekend on behalf of children or young people facing sexual abuse.

The DPO Centre, based at Suffolk Enterprise Park, in Felaw Street, will take part in the 2025 Dragon Boat Race on the town’s waterfront on Saturday.

The event will see as many as 40 businesses compete in a day of racing and fund-raising on behalf of children’s charity Brave Futures.

The DPO centre has entered two teams into the race – Blazing Paddles and Privacy Pirates.

A spokesperson for the firm said: “Behind the fun and fanfare lies a powerful mission. Every stroke we paddle, and every pound we raise will help Brave Futures continue delivering life-changing therapy and support for survivors of sexual abuse.

“Their services offer a safe space for children and young people to rebuild confidence, develop coping strategies, and move from victim to survivor.”
