Delays expected as police escort abnormal load through Suffolk to Ipswich on Monday

Drivers may experience delays as police escort an abnormal load from Norfolk to Suffolk tomorrow.

Suffolk Police said, from 10am, they will be escorting the transportation of a boat – 5.1m wide, 5.15m high, 21.5m long, and weighing 44,000kg – through the county.

The load will be taken from Oyster Yachts, Tunstead Road in Hoveton, near Norwich, to Fox's Marina, Wherstead, in Ipswich .

The route will be as follows: local roads, A149, B1152, A1064, A47, A11, A14, A142, A14, A14 J55 slip road, A14, A137, and local roads to the site.

Police said delays should be expected along this route.
