Delays expected on A14, B1506, A1308 and other roads tomorrow as 59-tonne boat transported to Ipswich




Drivers in Suffolk have been told to expect delays tomorrow as a 59-tonne boat is transported through the county.

Traffic is expected to be slow from around 9am as the load is escorted from Oundle, near Peterborough, to Ipswich Haven Marina.

The boat, which measures 25 metres in length, will be transported via the A14 before coming off at the A1303 and travelling through Newmarket and Kentford via the B1506.

It will then rejoin the A14 before coming off at Stowmarket and travelling along the A1308 and B1113.

The boat will then be taken to the Haven Marina via the A1071, A1214, A137, West End Road and Bridge Street.

Suffolk Police will escort the vehicle from the A1303 to Ipswich.

A spokesman said delays are to be expected along all these routes.
