Delays on A14, at Orwell Bridge, following broken down vehicle on westbound carriageway

Drivers faced delays on a major carriageway following a broken down vehicle, which blocked one lane.

Police were called to a broken down lorry on the westbound carriageway of the A14, just before the start of the Orwell Bridge, near Ipswich, at around 2.20pm.

According to the AA map, it caused delays between junction 57, Nacton Interchange, and junction 56, Wherstead Interchange.

The vehicle has been moved to a safer place.

The carriageway was cleared by 2.40pm.
