Ipswich Anglia Parkway South Tim Hortons drive-through restaurant set to open this month

Canadian coffee giant Tim Hortons will open its highly anticipated Ipswich drive-through this month.

Plans for the restaurant, which serves Canadian-style classics ranging from their famous coffee and donuts to crispy chicken sandwiches, were unveiled in September and revealed the eatery would be located at Anglia Parkway South.

Today the fast food chain have confirmed the store will officially open on January 20 at 7am.

They added that the first guest in both the drive-through and restaurant queues will be awarded free drinks for a whole 365 days, a prize worth over £3,000.

Tim Hortons also plan to give away a free breakfast meal to its first 100 customers as well as other giveways including free drinks and donuts for those who activate their Tim Hortons' digital wallet. Guests will need to scan the QR code found at the restaurant or visit the website to activate the rewards wallet.

The restaurant and drive-through will be open from 6am to midnight every day.

Kevin Hydes, chief commercial officer of the Tim Hortons franchise in the UK, said: “We are kicking off the new year with our first restaurant opening in Ipswich. We have received tremendous support from the local community since announcing the arrival of our first restaurant in Suffolk and know this launch will create excitement for fans in the area.

“We’re well-known for our generous offers and giveaways and cannot wait to share them with our worthy fans. We’re very much looking forward to celebrating the launch and can’t wait to welcome those all around the county.”
