Ismailaj came under the radar on April 29, when officers pulled over a a grey Mercedes GLB on the A14, heading towards Felixstowe.

Two males in the car were detained while officers searched the vehicle. Inside, they found a mobile phone where Ismailaj was found to have discussed supplying cocaine in Ipswich, Stowmarket, Bury St Edmunds and elsewhere.

Other messages concerned recruitment of people to carry out deliveries and arrangements for resupplies of drugs.

The court heard that an average of 175 messages were sent per day.

It was then that a flat in College Street, Ipswich, was raided, where officers seized £6,360 in cash and a small amount of cannabis.

After his arrest, Ismailaj was remanded in custody. The jury took less than two hours to return a guilty verdict.

For dealing cocaine, Ismailaj was handed a four year sentence. For the cannabis charge, he was given nine months, to be served concurrently.

In addition, the mobile phone was destroyed and he surrendered the cash taken from the flat.

Finally, Ismailaj was disqualified from driving for 30 months.
