The Easter Bunny has delivered seasonal cheer to deaf and hearing impaired children at an Ipswich primary school.

Today, Karen Finch, co-director of All About Hearing, joined the Easter Bunny on a visit to Rushmere Hall Primary School, in Lanark Road.

They surprised children at its hearing impaired unit, bringing with them smiles and chocolate.

Pupils were also invited to decorate their own characters. In return, they taught the bunny Easter-related British Sign Language (BSL).

Karen thanked the children for their creativity, which saw the room filled with vibrant colours.

Karen said: “It was a truly heart-warming experience. The children were so enthusiastic and proud of their artwork and watching them teach the Easter Bunny to sign was just magical.

“We’re so grateful to Jo and the incredible team at Rushmere Hall for the work they do every day to support and empower hearing impaired and deaf children.

“It was a real privilege to be welcomed into their classroom and to share in such a joyful event.”
