Ed Sheeran clocks another week at number one in the Official Singles Chart with Bad Habits

Suffolk superstar Ed Sheeran has made it four weeks running at number one in the Official Singles Chart.

The Framlingham singer’s Bad Habits had 101,000 chart sales, alongside a massive 11.4 million streams, keeping the pop song at the top of the charts.

And Bad Habits outperformed his closest competition by more than double - The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber’s Stay jumped three places to number two.

Further down the chart Heartbreak Anthem by Galantis, David Guetta and Little Mix rebounds three places to its previous peak of number three, while Black Magic by Jonasu charges up seven spots to number four, to land the German producer his first ever Top 10 single.

The 30-year-old singer-songwriter is no stranger to the number one spot. He has spent 623 in the top 40 singles chart, and has 10 UK number one singles to his name.

Bad Habits was released on June 25, and was the first solo release from an album in more than four years.

But there could be trouble ahead for his time at the top. Pop Smoke claimed the highest new entry with Demeanor featuring Dua Lipa at 14.

The song, which features on the late rapper’s second posthumous studio album, is his eighth top 40 and Dua’s 19th.
