Individual taken to Ipswich Hospital after multi-vehicle crash in Duke Street, Ipswich

One person has been taken to hopsital after a multi-vehicle crash in a Suffolk town centre earlier today.

Police were called to the two-vehicle collision in Duke Street, Ipswich at 12.15pm, between a motorbike and a car.

The road was blocked at the time and heavy traffic was reported between Pownall Road and Tye Road, however the motorbike was moved off the road fairly quickly and traffic was able to flow again.

Ambulance services attended to check over the driver of the motorcycle, and an East of England Ambulance spokesperson confirmed one patient was taken to Ipswich Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
