Fire crews helped man from water at Stoke Bridge, Ipswich

Fire crews were called to aid in a water rescue this afternoon, as a man needed help in the river.
Emergency services were called to Stoke Bridge, Ipswich, just after 2pm as a man, who was in the River Orwell, needed help.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were in attendance and worked to rescue the man from the water.
The man is now safely out of the water, and is being assessed by ambulance crews.
