Firefighters from Hadleigh, Sudbury and Long Melford put out fire in Church Field, Monks Eleigh

A room fire at a house in Suffolk has been extinguished by firefighters.

Three fire crews were called to reports of smoke rising from the house in Church Field, Monks Eleigh – west of Ipswich – at 7.13am today.

The firefighters found a fire in one room, and extinguished it with two jets.

No-one was injured and the fire was out by 8.03am.

The crews, from Hadleigh, Sudbury and Long Melford, are still at the property to make it safe.
