A14 between Sproughton and Washbrook faced delays last night as firefighters battled car blaze at the side of the road
A car was engulfed in flames on the A14 last night, causing traffic delays while firefighters battled the blaze.
Other motorists reported the fire on the southbound carriageway between Sproughton and Washbrook just before 9pm.
Fire crews rushed to the scene and extinguished the burning silver Honda.
The car was extinguished and firefighters left the scene at around 10.15pm.
Police have confirmed there were no casualties as a result of the fire.
Reports suggest the fire caused delays on the A14 that cleared just before 11pm.
